Judo: Gemma Gibbons reaches final to ensure first British judo medal since 2000

Greenwich fighter Gemma Gibbons has won her semi-final in the under-78kg division at ExCeL to ensure either a gold or silver medal for Great Britain.

And shes just done it, showing amazing stamina in what was a very difficult match against Audrey Tcheuméo. She just kept on the attack, didn’t let up and eventually got her opponent down in a cracking performance.

Shes nailed the semi-final and is now through to the final.

One step away from Gold for Team GB.
